An unsaturated oleochemical ester which can be used in various lubricant formulations as a base stock or additive:
o Industrial Fluids
o Metal Working Fluids
o Greases
o Fire Resistant Hydraulic Fluids
o Food Grade Lubricants
o Marine Lubricants
Based on unsaturated fatty acids which provide superior lubrication and friction reduction enabling the formulation of energy-efficient fluids. Product shows very good solubility with most petrochemical and synthetic base stocks to minimize incompatibility with other lubricants.
Provides excellent low temperature properties and good compatibility with a wide range of rubber and seal compounds. The high flash and fire point compared to petrochemical base stocks of the same viscosity class support the development of fire-resistant hydraulic fluids.
Registered for the usage in food grade lubricants as it has an NSF HX-1 approval provided by the NSF.
Also approved for the usage in European Ecolabel (EEL) compliant lubricants and can be found on the Lubricant Substance Classification (LuSC) list. It is the most commonly used base stock for environmentally acceptable lubricants (EAL´s) within the viscosity class 46.
Registered at CEFAS and holds a Gold ranking which makes the product applicable for a broad range of marine applications in the lubricant and oilfield industry.
